Court Baseline Maintenance

7 Feb 2023 by Junior Convenor

When low spots develop on courts, it’s essential to conduct preventative maintenance to ensure the low spots don’t get deeper.
This is an ongoing regular maintenance issue most people are not aware of and don’t see been fixed.
To do this we scrape hard pack clay under the nets. Then spread this onto the wet damp low spot areas. Rolling and watering help to bed this new clay to build up the low spots.
Sometimes it’s best to close the court down for 2 to 3 weeks to let the clay settle.
