Commitment to Child Safety

The Knox City Tennis Club is a safe and inclusive environment.

We welcome you to the Knox City Tennis Club. In visiting, you join us as a member of our

community and thus join in our commitment to child safety. At the Club, we are committed

to acting in the best interests of children’s safety. At our Club, there is no place for child

abuse in any form.

In your time at the Club, we ask that you:

 Treat all students with dignity and courtesy.

 Respect the Club’s commitment to cultural and social inclusion.

 Report concerns about child safety to a member of the committee who can then

facilitate your meeting with the clubs Child Protection Officer.

 Respect the privacy of students and their families and only disclose information to

people who have a need to know.

And that you do not:

 Engage in inappropriate personal communications with a junior player through any

medium.

 Take or publish (including online) photos, movies or recordings of a junior player

without parental/guardian consent granted through the Club.

 Engage in any form of inappropriate behaviour towards junior players or expose

junior players to such behaviour.
